DESIGNER: Lievore Altherr Molina

Lievore Altherr MolinaThe quality of the threesome Alberto Lievore, Jeannette Altherr and Manel Molina is perfectly consolidated around the world, but no so many are aware of the work done for Andreu World as art directors. Alberto Lievore, born in Buenos Aires, is a designer having matured to his very best amongst all the veterans in Spanish design. He was to achieve many moments of fame and high levels of productivity once he began working with the designer Jeannette Altherr and the interior and industrial designer Manel Molina. He studied architecture in Buenos Aires and had shown an interest in industrial design, having founded the design and production centre, Hipótesis. In 1977 he set up his studio in Barcelona with Jorge Pensi. In those days he already understood design as an integral activity that encompasses the conception and definition of the design, its production strategies and its subsequent graphic and advertising images. In 1984 he went independent and during the time he managed his own studio he bequeathed works of genius such as the Lynn chair. With the Lynn, he started his relationship with Andreu World, and two years later set up a new design company called Lievore, Altherr, Molina, becoming official in 1996. Since then his contributions to the company catalogue have been fundamental, abundant and very high in quality, with exemplary pieces such as the Radical chair and the models in the Manila series.
